What is a reliable site where i can get free samples of beauty products?

im looking more towards fragrance and skin care, ect, not as much makeup, but that is good too.

Beauty therapy shoes in London?

I am starting a Beauty therapy course next week and need ‘Suitable white shoes’. Im guessing they would be quite similar to nurses shoes.
Anyone got any idea where i can buy them in london?

I did a beauty course in Coventry and we had to wear black.
I got my shoes from New Look. They did them in white as well so you could try there. When they ask for suitable they mean flat and smart so any form of dolly shoe without the little bows will be fine.

++++ Why have i never seen a clothing advert on tv in the uk ? ++++?

I was wondering why i have only ever seen i footwear ad [ K-swiss ] and several beauty or fragrances adverts but no fashion or clothing ads.

Why is this?

Clothing not footware/sportwear please.

There are plenty of clothing ads for stores like M&S, Matalan, etc, and also specific to the clothing ranges at Asda and Tesco.

But yes, you wouldn’t ever see an ad for, say, Topshop or Miss Selfridge.

I think this is probably because – and I could be wrong – advertising on TV is not effective when it’s a product that is only interesting to a select group of people as it’s too expensive. The ads that you’ve seen for things like K-Swiss are probably on cable or satellite channels, not normal ones.

It’s probably more cost-effective to use print advertising in order to target a very specific audience effectively.

Do you have experience as a beauty therapist? People are not keen to have treatments from someone who’s not experienced. If you don’t have the experience, you’ll need someone who is skilled in it to deal with the customers.

Start by identifying the services that people need in the radius that you’re prepared to work. Then work out the kind of people that want those services and how you’re going to reach them.

If you’re in the UK, one of your best starting points is to contact your local Business Link for lots of free help and advice, including a seminar on starting in business. It will really help with giving you ideas on where to start.
