Do you have experience as a beauty therapist? People are not keen to have treatments from someone who’s not experienced. If you don’t have the experience, you’ll need someone who is skilled in it to deal with the customers.
Start by identifying the services that people need in the radius that you’re prepared to work. Then work out the kind of people that want those services and how you’re going to reach them.
If you’re in the UK, one of your best starting points is to contact your local Business Link for lots of free help and advice, including a seminar on starting in business. It will really help with giving you ideas on where to start.
Good luck!
without knowing specifically what a mobile beauty therapy biz is, it’s kinda hard to point you in the right direction. but… i know that marketing is going to be key.
the other thing is, you need to figure out what kinds of licenses you need to be able to do that, and you also need to know how to legally form a business…. you may need to be an LLC, which means you need to know what that means to form one, and the tax implications as well as how to do the accounting for it. you also need to figure out how to get funding unless you have money in your pocket to get started.
starting any business takes something like 1200 before any merchandise, locations, employees etc…. basically 1200 just to FORM the business..
good luck

Almost twenty years ago I began my business offering mobile service.
My suggestions to you -
1. Start with friends & family – work from referrals within a 15-20 km area – you loose money when you service out of an area. The costs of travel eat your profits when you are all over the place.
2. Ensure you have practiced set-up & tear down – you bring everything (all towels etc. and you take everything – garbage – sheets as well). This is key – and you should be completed in less than 15 min or this time eats into your profits.
3. I am assuming you are good at what you are doing and this is not some idea – if your not – go to school – work for someone and than do the mobile thing.
4. Ensure you have 5 key services that make 80% of your money – 20% can be new things or holiday things but keep your menu simple – this keeps it profitable.
5. I disagree with marketing – do not spend a dime on this – people who use this service – only do it through word of mouth – get a uniform – look professional – and always send thank you cards to those who referred you.
6. When you reach 50 paying clients – consider the bridal industry.
Build a foundation.
I do not visit this site often, good luck.
